Dr. Michael Regier is a clinical psychologist, marriage counselor and executive coach. He has over 30 years of experience working with diverse client populations in inpatient, outpatient, addictions and corporate settings. He is a founding member of Kaweah Delta Health Care District’s Medical Residency program in Visalia, CA. Dr. Regier previously served as a Treasurer and President of the Central Coast Psychological Association.

Dr. Michael Regier’s Educational Background

He has received Certification as an Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFCT), an Emotionally Focused Individual Therapist (EFIT) and is a certified EFT Supervisor.

He earned a Ph.D. from The California School of Professional Psychology where he specialized in clinical psychology.

Dr. Michael Regier has served as a staff psychologist at Philhaven Hospital in Mt. Gretna, Pennsylvania.

He is a former faculty member at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. There he did addiction treatment, research and program administration.

He completed postdoctoral training in couples group psychotherapy with Judith Coche, Ph.D. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He completed executive coaching training with the College of Executive Coaching in Pismo Beach, California.

Throughout his career he has been committed to the integration of faith and science in all his work.

Dr. Regier has presented research. He’s given keynote addresses at national conferences. He writes and speaks on topics related to relational excellence and transformation. His articles have been published and syndicated on Your Tango and Psych Central.

He has published professional articles in peer review and trade magazines.

He’s a member of the Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Association.
