We change when our hearts experience the emotion of love and compassion. Using his original songs, poems, and stories, Michael will entertain, encounter, and guide you as you listen to and respond to his creative offerings. Michael is delighted to respond to requests from small groups and organizations that would like to explore how we love as humans and spiritual beings. Invite Dr. Regier to spend an evening sharing his original music, poems, and stories about the “Ten Faces of Love.”

Dr. Sue Johnson has developed a Hold Me Tight retreat for couples, an experiential model for escaping negative cycle conflict. Dr. Regier combines this approach with his own relationship foundations work, which he has written about in his and Paula’s book Emotional Connection: The Story & Science of Preventing Conflict & Creating Lifetime Love.

This retreat is offered on the beautiful Central California coast and is open to all couples who want to stabilize and deepen their relationships.

Many therapists do not know where to start when a client is in a relationship crisis. This four-hour seminar provides an overview of attachment theory and how EFT therapists work with couples to help them break out of their cycle of conflict and find emotional connection. Contact Dr. Regier if your organization wants him to offer this seminar.

A blog by Dr. Regier, “Emotional Withdrawal: 5 Reasons Men Do It and How To Open Them Up,” written over five years ago, attracts thousands of views weekly. It’s unclear whether women read the blog to better understand the men in their lives or if men read it to gain insights about themselves. However, based on this article, research, and Dr. Regier’s extensive experience working with men, we know that learning how to be more emotionally engaged is the most crucial thing most men can learn to do.

In this weekend retreat, Dr. Regier will talk about the attachment issues in childhood that create patterns of avoidance of emotional connection in adult love relationships. Conversations will be created to help men understand how common this struggle is for most men. There will also be experiential learning to identify the triggers that create emotional shutdown. This retreat will be offered on the Central Coast twice a year. Sign up to reserve a place. The group size will be limited to 25 for optimal interaction.

Dr. Dan Siegel has integrated the Enneagram system with his Interpersonal Neuro-biology approach to working with clients. He has organized this integration in a way that incorporates the psychospiritual power of working on ourselves using positive psychology and the ancient wisdom of spiritual transformation in an open and inclusive way. This seminar is open to any organization with members who have some knowledge of the Enneagram and want to dig deeper in using it as a coaching or therapy tool.

This seminar (in development) will be collaboratively offered by Dr. Michael Regier and Dr. Robert Inchausti, an Emeritus literature scholar. Michael and Robert, close friends, aim to share what they have learned throughout their careers about psychospiritual development, using examples from psychological theory and the writings of mystics. Robert, a Thomas Merton Scholar, is an authority on Merton’s psychospiritual approach to transformation. Michael and Robert share a passion for employing Jungian theory as guidance to uncover the unconscious messages that make us aware of the motivations driving our behaviors. They also share an interest in Dr. Rene Girard’s mimetic theory as a means of grounding Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey and making it accessible. This is a highly interactive seminar with recommended readings for those who want to explore the why of our existence and to consider an evolving understanding of human transformation.
